Well known Telecom company Bharti Airtel introduces India’s first AI-powered spam detection solution. According to the report this method can control spam calls and messages.
The telecom company claims the tool informs the user in real-time to all suspected spam calls and SMSes. All Airtel users will get this service. The company is not charging any special fees for this facility. It will be automatically activated in the mobile phones. The mobile user need not to download any particular app to use the tool.
Spam calls and messages will not be a noisense henceforth. Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bharti Airtel reported that the company was trying to find a solution for the past twelve months.
He said that the new tool can detect 100 million potential spam calls and 3 million spam SMSes. The solution will be a great relief to the customers.
The latest finding was developed in-house by Airtel’s data scientists. It uses a proprietary algorithm to detect sparms. The proprietary algorithm can identify and classify spams.
Moreover, the company informed the media that it has prepared a database of blacklisted URLs. So the latest method can inform the users about the suspected link. The AI algorithm check every SMS and prevent accidentally clicking on suspicious links.
The spam calls and messages are increasing nowadays and it is a great problem to the people. TRAI is taking a lot of steps to control spam messages and calls. The Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) already issued instructions to all service providers to check the promotional calls and messages.
