Amazon, the very popular name in the e-Commerce platform is now all set to step into the telecom industry, as we got a new piece of information which suggests that the e-Commerce giant is planning to purchase a 5% stake in Bharti Airtel.
According to a report, Amazon is in the early stage of talks with Airtel to purchase a 5% of stake and that will cost a whopping $2 billion. Having said that, Airtel is now the third largest telecom operator of the country after Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the official confirmation about the deal but the report suggested that it is in a good way and that means we can expect that the company will convert into the reality and Amazon will purchaser its 5% stake from the very popular and one of the first players in the Telecom industry of the country.
