Google introduced instant Apps back in last year, and early in this year the company started testing instant Apps with limited developers. But now at Google I/O 2017, the company has finally announced Android Instant Apps are now available to all the developers.
What is Android Instant Apps?
The Android instant Apps allows user to use an app by just tapping on a link, even if the app is not installed on the device. It is an expansion of the app streaming feature, the company’s been working on this feature from quite some time.
The company has also confirmed that the instant Apps already available in more than 40 countries, the latest Android O is building more efficient runtime sandbox for instant Apps. The company has included more, shareable support libraries to reduce app size and launcher integration support.
The mountain view company has said, it rolls out support for the instant Apps to more devices and countries soon. The company also said it will expand the support to the devices which are running on Android Lollipop v5.0 shortly, this feature is already available for the Android Marshmallow devices.
If you are a developer then download the latest Android Studio 3.0 preview and Instant Apps SDK now. Before wrapping up, the Android Studio 3.0 preview includes a new suite for app performance profiling tools to diagnose performance issues and it also support for Kotlin programming language and increased Gradle speed on large sized apps.
