The developers of Android Messages app are gearing to roll out RCS feature in the messaging application, and now they are going a step ahead to make the application more attractive and awesome. The developers of the messaging application testing the Augmented Reality effects which are similar on the popular social media applications like Instagram and Snapchat.
According to a new report, Android Messages is going through a testing stage and the builds have the Augmented Reality effects similar to the Instagram and Snapchat and the messaging application allow users to send the AR filtered images within the application. Right now, there are five camera effects are available; plane, balloon effect, fireworks, confetti effect, and angel filter.
Having said that, to use the Augmented Reality effects in the messaging application you need to capture the images from the Messages app and not from the regular camera application of the device. And there is no word on when this new feature will be rolled out to the general public.
