Android P Will Tighten Your Privacy

We are still in the hangover of the latest Android version called Android Oreo, and many of you may don’t have a first look at the new operating system. On the same time, the Mountain View company is working on its next version of Android i.e. Android P and as we know the company will roll out the new version of Android by the end of August every year. So, we will see the new version of Android and its official name later this year.

However, we already started to receive information about the upcoming operating system and now we got a report which says that Android P will be more focused on user’s privacy. According to the source, the upcoming operating system of Android will detect and prevent applications which are accessing the camera of a device in the background without the permission of the user.

The operating system will restrict those kinds of the application via app’s User ID (UID ), which Android assigns to every app when they install on your device and these ID’s are unique to each app and it cannot able to take, so things will be easy to detect and prevent.

The source also says that new operating system will identify when a UID is “idle,” or when an app runs in the background after a certain period of time. Then the OS will generate an error in that particular UID to prevent the access to the camera. Well, this is a great feature to have in the operating system of our smartphone because these days we have lots of malicious applications which carry out various activities even without the knowledge of a user.
