Android is the world’s most popular mobile operating system, and it is having huge fans in India as well. It was recently reported that the watchdog in the country has implemented some rules and that made Google to make lots of changes on its platform. Now we got a new piece of information which is suggesting that the company will be offering a different Android experience in India other than rest of the world. It is reported that the Android smartphones in India will be getting a version of Google Mobile Services (GMS) and the same will be coming with optional Google apps. The new Indian Mobile Application Distribution Agreement (IMADA) between OEMs and Google will only require the installation of the Google Play Store. It is also said that the search engine giant Google will offer a “per-app bounty” to smartphone makers who pre-install any of its 11 apps which are now not mandatory to be available on the devices.
The new agreement will also enable the customers in the country to choose the default search engine during the setup process of the device. This option is said to be available in the second quarter of this year. It is worth mentioning that the new changes will be applicable to the devices which are sold in India only.
