It’s the second quarter of this year and HTC is in planning to launch its flagship device very soon. This is now the only expected device left which is not launched in first half of 2018 (OnePlus is already before time, don’t consider OnePlus here). As of now, we don’t know much about this device, but in February we got some leaked images of the same. Now today we got some more images of this HTC U12. So let’s have a look at the same.
As you can see from the images above, the front side has an earpiece, sensors, and interestingly dual cameras. So HTC will be the first tier one flagship smartphone to have dual front camera setup (Pixel 2 series has single camera, bokeh works on AI). Below is the near bezel-less display with either 18:9 or 19:9, or maybe some another weird aspect ratio. On the left, there’s SIM slot, and on the right volume button and the power button is present.
The power button has a good looking textured finish, which might even feel good. On the top, there’s secondary noise cancellation microphone, and on the bottom main microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grill is present. Coming to the back, it has a glossy metal finish which shines very much, so it will catch fingerprint easily. Remembering of the fingerprint, the fingerprint sensor is present slightly above the center of the back or I would say below the LED flash and camera setup. Talking about the camera setup, it has a dual camera setup in a horizontal way. Nothing else is on the back.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Comparing it with previously leaked images, we can’t compare it too much, only the screen is clearly visible, as the bezel above the display is hidden.
