The new update from the Cupertino giant brings trackpad support for iPads. This iPadOS update allows user to connect mice via Bluetooth and USB to compatible iPads. The latest update shows a mouse pointer that snaps onto icons as the user hovers the mouse near them. This makes it easier for a user to work with the mouse and get things done.
The update also brings support for the new Magic Keyboard accessory that comes with a built-in trackpad.
The other improvements are common between iOS and iPadOS. These features include iC loud Drive folder sharing directly from the Files app, nine new Memojis, always-visible controls for actions like delete, move, reply, and compose in the Mail app. The update also brings improvement to CarPlay and third-party navigation app support. With this update in the CarPlay phone, calls will not take up the entire display of your car’s infotainment system.
Other features include full-third party cookie blocking in Safari and predictive typing support for Arabic, among other things.
The 13.4 version will also hit tvOS and HomePod. Meanwhile, Apple Watch is getting WatchOS 6.2 update with in-app purchase support, ECG and irregular heart rhythm alerts in Chile, New Zealand and Turkey.
Macs are also receiving Cataline 10.15.4 update with iCloud drive folder sharing, Screen Time, time-synced lyrics support for Apple Music, Chrome password import and Netflix HDR support in Safari. The update also brings universal purchase support for apps across all Apple platforms and customized reference models for the Pro Display XDR.
