Finally, Apple has officially announced the multi year partnership with the Mountain View company Google and this collaboration will be making Siri powerful with the help of Google Gemini models. The new confirmation comes through a joint statement shared by both Apple and Google and this confirmation puts a full stop to months of speculation around Apple’s AI partner.
It was previously reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in November 2025 that this deal will make Apple to make a payment to Google around $1 billion per year for access to Google’s 1.2 trillion parameter Gemini model. Unfortunately, there is no official word about the payment.
The new partnership will be reflected in Siri with the upcoming iOS 26.4, and the same is expected to be released around March. The digital assistant is expected to understand the context of what’s on the iPhone display along with the capability of browsing and using personal data more intelligently and managing complex, multi-step tasks among others with the new power.
