Apple has introduced the latest setup to create and present an ID in Apple Wallet and the same is dubbed Digital ID. It will enable users to store and present their identity even if they do not have a real ID.
The latest Digital ID will be using data from their US passport, and present it with the security and privacy of the iPhone or Apple Watch. It is worth mentioning that this is not a replacement for a physical passport and the same cannot be used for international travel.
Apple has also said that the information in a Digital ID is encrypted and users also offer the ability to review and authorize the information being requested with Face ID or Touch ID before it is shared.
The new setup will roll out first in beta at TSA checkpoints at more than 250 airports in the U.S.
