The Mac Studio and Studio Display were unveiled at the Virtual Apple event on March 8th. The new devices are aimed at professionals who want to upgrade existing gear.
The Mac Studio is located just above the M1-Power Mac Mini and outperforms the existing Intel based Mac Pro. It is equipped with either the M1 Max or the newly launched M1 Ultra SoCs.The Apple Studio display is the company’s latest exterior display. It provides the Apple A13 chip to handle some processing tasks natively.
Mac Studio specifications
Mac Studio is smaller in size than the Mac Pro, designed to look like a Mac mini but taller. Mac Studio has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It have also has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 connectivity options.
Made of aluminum, it features the Apple logo, USB Type-C or Thunderbolt ports, and an SDXC card slot on the front.The device comes with a range of rear ports, including 10GB Ethernet, HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, and two USB-A ports.
Mac Studio is equipped with 32GB of integrated memory and starts at 512GB SSD. The M1 Ultra SoC will feature up to 20 CPU cores and up to 64 GPU cores, and can support up to 128GB of integrated RAM and 8TB of SSD storage. The machine is approximately 94 mm high and 195 mm wide.
Apple Studio Display specifications
The Apple Studio display is 27 inches in size and has 5K resolution, 600nits brightness and True Tone for color adjustment based on ambient conditions. This is in contrast to the Pro Display XDR, which has a 32-inch 6K (6,016×3,384 pixels) display with a resolution of 218ppi pixels.
Apple claims that the panel on the Studio display will deliver original 10-bit color and super-wide viewing angles. The new Apple Monitor is equipped with the A13 SoC to handle certain processes without the use of external sources.
Three mic arrays and a highly reliable six-speaker system with Dolby Atmos offer clear sound, including spatial audio for music and video.It has tilt and height adjustable arm and Vesa mount option.
A nano-textured glass option can reduce reflections. It has three 10Gbps USB Type-C ports and a Thunderbolt port that allows connection to all peripherals and can charge any Mac notebook up to 96W.
The Apple Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and Magic Trackpad will be available in a new matching Black and Silver colour option.The Magic Keyboard with touchpad and numeric keypad will go on sale for Rs.19,500, while the Magic Trackpad will be available for Rs. 14,500 and the Magic Mouse for Rs. 9,500.
 Price and Availability in India
The base variant of the Mac Studio in India is priced at Rs 1,89,900.It comes with M1 Max SoC, 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The M1 Ultra SoC is priced at Rs 3,89,900 with 64GB RAM and 1TB SSD.
Meanwhile, the Apple Studio display price in India is set at Rs 1,59,900 with standard glass and Rs. 1,89,900 with nano-textured glass.Mac Studio and Apple Studio Display are listed in the Apple Online Store in India and will ship in a few weeks.
In the US, the Mac Studio M1 Max with 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD will start at $ 1,999, with the M1 Ultra at $ 3,999 and the M1 Ultra 64GB RAM (approximately Rs. 3,00,300) at $ 300,300. , Apple Studio Display will start at $ 1,500 (approximately $ 1,12,600).
