The tech giant Apple has unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone 15 Series at the iconic Steve Jobs Theater. The latest iPhone 15 Series includes four models including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company has implemented the dynamic island feature on all the models of the new iPhone 15 Series and this particular feature was originally announced on the iPhone 14 Pro series last year. The company has finally adopted a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer and the same comes in the year 2023. For those who are not aware, the company used its own Lightning port until now. Specifications of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus
The specifications of both devices are similar and the only difference between the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus is in the display and battery department. The company is offering the same boxy form factor along with similar button placements as per previous iPhones. But the company has slightly raised the camera module from the back panel. The devices come with a frosted glass back panel that was limited to the Pro models previously and this year the company has introduced the devices with the Dynamic Island which was introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro variants last year.
Now let’s check out the specifications, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models feature 6.1 and 6.7-inch Retina XDR OLED displays respectively with 2,000 nits peak brightness. The devices feature a 48MP Sony sensor on the back along with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an additional 2x telephoto option. Both devices come with a 12MP front facing camera. The camera department of the devices get an interesting feature that will automatically add depth when a subject is detected, which means you are not required to switch to portrait mode.
Under the hood, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are powered by the Apple A16 Bionic processor along with 6GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. The company did not reveal the battery details of the devices but it is confirmed that the devices can able to provide 26 and 20 hours of usage respectively.

Now let’s talk about the big brothers, the iPhone 15 Pro models come with titanium alloy for their chassis and the same is much stronger and lighter. The company has added a solid-state Action button, which replaces the traditional mute switch. The button will work as a mute switch but you can program the button for different functions including launching the camera application, invoke Shortcuts or accessibility features, starting a voice memo, and more.
Both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED displays respectively, and the display sizes of the devices are the same as the previous generation. But the company is now offering brighter displays as the devices are coming with more efficient LTPO controllers. The devices feature thinner bezels and the devices feature an adaptive refresh rate (ProMotion-enabled) and Always-on display.
The latest iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come with the power of the latest A17 Bionic chip and the chipset is based on a 3nm process which means you will be getting a different level of performance and better power efficiency. The devices are also coming with 8GB of RAM with up to 1TB of internal storage. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus start at the same price tag as their predecessors i.e. $799 and $899 respectively. Both devices will be available from September 22. On the other hand, The iPhone 15 Pro will start at $999, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at $1,199.
