Apple has officially introduced the new Mac mini with the latest M6 and M5 Pro chips, and the company has also launched the new Mac Studio that comes with the power of the Apple M5 Max and the new M5 Ultra chips. The latest Apple Mac Mini with the power of the M6 processor offers up to 4x faster AI performance, 2x faster storage and graphics than the previous generation.
The latest Mac Mini with M6 and M5 Pro supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6, along with 2.5GB Ethernet. It also comes with two USB-C ports that support USB 3 and a headphone jack with high-impedance headphone support on the front. While the back has 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports on the M6 model, and 3 Thunderbolt 5 ports on the M5 Pro model, along with HDMI and Ethernet and also supports the new genlock support through USB-C.
Apple has also introduced the new Mac mini with the upcoming macOS 27 (Golden Gate), which includes Siri AI, along with a profoundly more capable and personal assistant, you will be getting Apple Intelligence features and an expansive set of improvements.
Along with the M6 processor, you will get 16GB of standard unified memory configurable up to 32GB, as well as higher memory bandwidth up to 170GB/s, multitasking is faster than ever.
Regarding the pricing and availability, you guys can pre-order the new Mac Mini on apple.com and in the Apple Store app in 30 countries and regions. It will be available from September 22. The pricing of the M6 starts at Rs 99900 while the M5 Pro starts at Rs 209900.
Coming to the Mac Studio with M5 Max, it comes with an 18-core CPU, an up-to-40-core GPU with Neural accelerators built into each core, and up to 128GB of unified memory. While the M5 Ultra will offer a 36-core CPU, up to an 80-core GPU, and a 512GB of unified memory. The M5 Max features on-device AI compute with up to 3.9x faster AI performance compared to the previous generation. While the M5 Ultra features up to 4.3x the peak AI compute performance. It also comes with up to 512GB of unified memory and 1.2TB/s of memory bandwidth.
You will be getting a built-in support for Thunderbolt 5 and RDMA (remote direct memory access). The latest Mac Studio also features faster storage and a comprehensive array of impressive connectivity options. You will be getting the N1 chip that brings WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and it also supports genlock over USB-C for precise synchronisation between a display and professional camera capture. It will be running on the upcoming macOS 27 (Golden Gate) along with Siri AI, helpful Apple Intelligence features across everyday apps, and an expansive set of improvements.
Coming to the pricing and availability, it can be pre-ordered on apple.com and in the Apple Store app in 30 countries and regions. It will be available from September 22. But the 512GB of unified memory will be available from October. The pricing of the M5 Max variant starts at Rs 279900 and the M5 Ultra variant starts at Rs 629900.
