Apple has finally released the much awaited iOS 18.2 for the compatible devices and brings new features including the Apple Intelligence suite. So let’s get into the article to check out the full details of the latest update.

The new update is bringing the first set of AI image generation features with Image Playground, Genmoji and Image Wand in Notes. The latest iOS 18.2 is available to iPhone XS/XR and newer, with the Apple Intelligence features and the same are limited to iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. It is worth mentioning that Apple Intelligence is also expanding in more languages including localized English support for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K.
Apple is bringing a new Image Playground app in the latest iOS 18.2 and the same will enable you to create stylized AI images of people in your Photos. It will also enable you to combine the images with pre-made prompts or describe what kind of image you want. Currently, the company is offering two styles including Animation and illustration. Having set that, the new Image Playground is also integrated inside the Messages app as well.
While the new Genmoji will enable you to create custom emojis according to a text prompt directly from the emoji keyboard and it will also enable you to see your Genmoji as a normal emoji in texts.
Apart from that, Apple is also bringing ChatGPT integration to Siri. The company is also expanding the integration of the ChatGPT to iOS’s system-wide Writing Tools that will enable you quickly draft up emails and messages. It is also confirmed that all the features of the ChatGPT will work without the need to sign into your ChatGPT account.
The company also brings Visual Intelligence and it is an exclusive feature for the iPhone 16 series that will enable you to search and identify objects in your surroundings with a long press on the Camera Control button.
Apple has also updated Control Center toggles, categorized filters for the default Mail app, a redesigned video player inside the Photos app, and a system-wide volume limit.
The update will be available via OTA and if you don’t receive the notification then you can check for the update manually by opening the settings app.
