As 2018 is coming near, leaks & rumors of the upcoming phones (especially flagships) are expected. Now the flood of leaks will start for some flagships like Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. If we talk about the displays of 2018 phones, I don’t think that the trend of new aspect ratio will change, not even for Samsung. Today we got a leak about the same for Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. So let’s have a look.
A new benchmark leak confirms that Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will have 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Which means that both upcoming phones will retain the same aspect ratio as 2017’s flagship Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Strangely this benchmark shows the screen size of 340×760, which is impossible to expect even from a ₹2,000. Local phone. This is the benchmark’s fault, but if we calculate the aspect ratio, it’s 18.5:9 9.part from this aspect ratio, this benchmark shows that this is Samsung SM-G960F. This is surely the smaller Galaxy S9 because the bigger Galaxy S9 Plus has model no. SM-G965U1, according to a recent leak. Talking about the specs, this benchmark only shows that the phone is running on Android 8.0 Oreo. No other information is available.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Well there’s nothing surprising in this leak, because we know that all smartphones OEM will stick to this new aspect ratio for few more years. But in the coming days, we will start getting more & more leaks of Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, as Samsung is expected to launch both these flagships in MWC i.e. in February. So stay tuned with us for more information.
