The state running telecom company BSNL has officially introduced a new feature in India called the Kavach Number and the same is designed to ensure the safety of women. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
Many of us started to recharge online but there have still been instances where people go to stores to recharge and this makes the problem of leakage of customer contact numbers, resulting in harassment over calls or messages.
To solve this particular problem, BSNL has introduced to the latest “Kavach Number” feature. The feature will enable you to recharge numbers at physical stores without sharing the numbers. The feature will enable women to keep the number private and reduce the risk.
The latest feature will enable 10-digit alternate number linked to the user’s actual mobile number. Once activated, the Kavach number will be received by the user via SMS and the same will enable users to share that number at the recharge stores instead of the real phone number, and the recharge can be done for the main account.
BSNL will enable you to activate the new Kavach number feature by calling customer service at 1800 180 1503 or 1500 from your BSNL number. Once you get connected with the customer care executive, you can request activation of the Kavach number. After activating the feature, you will receive the Kavach number via SMS.
