It seems that the search engine giant Google is gearing up to improve the features of its ChromeOS as multiple new features of the operating system are spotted in the Canary build.
The company is testing the capability to enable you to hide your username and profile photo on the lock screen. This is a really good feature as it gives you more control over your privacy.
Google is also working on a few changes to the Settings app of the operating system and the menu is being tweaked to more clearly explain the difference between apps and Google Play. It also clearly said that removing the Google Play Store from your ChromeOS device will also disable Android apps.

The developers have also made some changes to the ChromeOS launcher and the company calls it as the “Everything launcher,” which will have a section for customized search results and the same will also offer interactive cards from the Diagnostics app. These cards will provide details about the CPU usage, temperature, and clock speed of the device.
It is worth mentioning that the features are in the testing stage and they may be removed when the company releases the update in the stable version.
