Following the announcement of Android 11, Oppo has announced the new ColorOS 11 update for Oppo devices. The UI jumps from ColorOS 7.2 version to ColorOS 11 to match the latest Android version in the naming scheme. The company has promised that the update will be rolled out to 28 of its devices in a staged manner and has also released a detailed roadmap for the same.
With the latest update, Oppo has streamlined the UI and added more customization options. It also comes with Android 11 features like one-time permissions, grouped message notifications, and media controls. The company has introduced a new animation engine called UI First 2.0 to improve RAM utilization and frame-rate suitability.

The new and improved Dark Mode comes with 3 color schemes along with different darkness intensity. It can be adjusted to match your home page icons and wallpaper. In addition, the company is bringing the most requested true Always-on Display feature with support of different patterns and colors.

Other than the visual changes, ColorOS 11 also brings in new features like FlexDrop, which allows you to resize supported apps into a floating window or an even smaller mini-window for easier multitasking.

Oppo has also developed a 3-finger translate gesture in partnership with Google which translates any content on the screen within the app in an instant. It brings a new Super Power Saving Mode that can allow users access to six apps. These apps will run for up to 12 hours on standby, 1 hour of phone calls, and 90 minutes of texting when the battery hits 5% or lower. In addition, it has introduced Battery Guard, to monitor power voltage nd study charging habits to reduce battery degradation over time.
With Oppo Relax 2.0, you can hear unique white noise mix from cities around the world like Beijing, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Reykjavik or create custom ones yourself.

The ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 Beta will start rolling out today for the Find X2 Series followed by Reno3 and Reno 4 series later this month. The ColorOS 11 update for users in Europe starts in November.
