If you don’t want to leave your Google account and search history after you went to the grave. Then you can easily do it after reading this article. In this article we will show you how to automatically delete your Google account and search histories after your death.

In google accounts there is an option called ‘Inactive Account Manager’, which will recognise the Dead Man’s account. Once you activate the future, then it will analyse your account and if there’s no interaction for certain period of time. Then Google will identify your account, and it will either give notification to your trusted contacts or it will delete your account as per your instructions you have set.
Here’s how to setup:
- Head to ‘Inactive Account Manager’ by clicking here.
- On this click on ‘Setup’.
- Now ‘Alert me’, here you have to give your mobile number and verify it. And you have to give a secondary email address. (One month of time will take for action you have selected to come in effect).
- Next up, you need to set timeout period, which means the time period you have selected is the timeout. If you haven’t logged in to the account for that period then it will delete your account, and Google will send email 1 month before the timeout period ends.
- Next setting is ‘Notify contacts and share data’, in this setting you have to set two options. The first option is ‘Add trusted contacts’, you can add upto 10 contacts as trusted and you can also set what they can access. So, click on ‘Add trusted contacts’ and add email address of your friends and tick the check-box to share data. And click ‘Next’, now enter mobile number of the contact. And select what kind of data you want share with the particular friend. Once you made selection click ‘Next’, and you set a message to your trusted contacts (it’s an optional step), and click save.
- If you want to send automated emails then click ‘Set auto-response in Gmail’, and add your message then save it. After this anyone try to contact you, the Gmail will automatically send your added message.
- The final step will ask you whether your data should be delete by Google after the timeout period you selected.
- After the above steps, just click on ‘Enable’ to activate the ‘Inactive Account Manager’.
That’s it!!! Now your account and data are safe even after your death.
