The entire nation is going through a national lockdown due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the government and other authorities have taken many bold decisions to control the disease and that includes restrictions in many things. The authorities also stopped buying products from the online retail stores expect from the essential items. However, now the government has issued new guidelines and that offers new signs of relief for both the customers as well as online retail stores.
According to new guidelines of the home ministry, online stores can sell electronic goods and that includes mobile phones, refrigerators, televisions, laptops, and other stationery items. The order will be effective from April 20, and it is also said that the online retail stores need to take permission from the authorities to ran their vans on the road to deliver the products.
Well, its a welcome move by the company as a large number of people are associated with the logistics and delivery related jobs and the new decision will definitely help them to find a source for their day-to-day needs.
Just to recall, the Prime Minister of India announced the lockdown on March 24 and that was for 21 days and then now it has been extended till May 3.
That said, the new decision will also help the mobility of money, as online stores such as Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal generate crores of money every year and the lockdown affected the industry very badly, just like any other industry.
