Let’s start with the vanilla variant and the Huawei Nova 12 smartphone features a 6.7-inch flat OLED display along with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also features a punch-hole setup at the centre position of the screen. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Kirin 8000 SoC along with up to 512GB of internal storage. The device has a large 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.
Huawei Nova 12 features a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a macro sensor on the back and comes with a fixed f/1.9 aperture. The device features a 60-megapixel ultra wide angle selfie camera. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security. Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports 4G, NFC, dual SIM, laser autofocus, and Bluetooth 5.2, among others.
While the Huawei Nova 12 Ultra and the Nova 12 Pro feature a curved 6.76-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The screen also has a pill shaped camera cutout on the top of the screen.
The latest Huawei Nova 12 Ultra is powered by the Kirin 9000SL chipset while the Pro variant comes with the power of a Kirin 8000 mobile processor along with 12GB of RAM. The Pro model offers up to 512GB of storage and the Ultra model has 1TB storage. The devices run on HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box. The phones are backed by a 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.
Both the latest Huawei Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra support satellite connectivity and 5G. They feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock for the additional layer of security. The devices feature dual SIM support, Gesture navigation, Bluetooth 5.2, AAC, SBC, and LDAC audio codec.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Huawei Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra features a 50-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a macro shooter. The primary camera has a variable aperture that can change from f/1.4 to f/4.0 along with a 2x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom. They offer a 60-megapixel main ultra wide angle selfie shooter and an 8-megapixel portrait camera. The wide angle sensor has an f/2.4 aperture and auto focus support and the portrait sensor has an f/2.2 aperture and also supports auto focus.
Recording the pricing and availability, the vanilla variant has a starting price of 2,999 Yuan and the same will be available from January 5 in China. While the Huawei Nova 12 Ultra has a starting price tag of 4,699 Yuan and the Huawei Nova 12 Pro has a starting price of 3,999 Yuan. Both devices will be available in China from January 12 2024.
