The South Korean electronics giant Samsung has officially introduced its new mobile processor called the Exynos 1580. It comes with an upgraded CPU and GPU. So let’s get into the article to check out the full details of the mobile processor.
Everything about Exynos 1580
The Exynos 1580 is built on Samsung’s third-generation 4nm EUV FinFET process and the Exynos 1580 offers a new CPU architecture and the same has a tri-cluster design with one high-performance Cortex-A720 core clocked at 2.9 GHz and three additional Cortex-A720 cores which are clocked at 2.6 GHz.
Samsung has introduced the new Exynos 1580 mobile processor with AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture based GPU and the same features double the Work Group Processors (WGUs) of the Exynos 1480. The new processor will be offering a 37% boost in peak performance and a 20% improvement at the same power level. The GPU of the mobile processor has also increased the GL2 cache that will be improving graphics performance further.
The processor also comes with the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that offers 14.7 TOPS of performance. It also comes with a larger 2MB NPU cache which will be improving AI processing efficiency. Regarding the connectivity options, the Exynos 1580 features 5G (both sub-6GHz and mmWave), Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4.
It also comes with up to 1080p+ resolution at 144Hz and the processor can offer cameras up to 200MP for single sensors or dual 32MP sensors at 30fps.
