Last month the tech giant Google announced Android Oreo (Go Edition) at the Google for India 2017 event. The Go Edition of the Oreo is not new stuff from the Mountain View company, it is the same thing which Google announced at its Google I/O 2017 event and that time it was named as Android Go. And now the company has made it on the base of Oreo.
The Android Oreo (Go Edition) is developed specially for the low-end smartphones, now we got a report which says that the first Android Go based smartphone will come into the reality in this month and the device will be from the Indian smartphone brand Micromax.
According to the FactoryDaily, Google has joined its hands with multiple Indian smartphone manufacturers. And the Micromax, one of the biggest name of the Indian smartphone brand is gearing up to launch first Android Oreo (Go Edition) device across the country.
The source which is close to the smartphone manufacturer says, the company is said to launch the device on or close to January 26 which is the occasion of Republic Day. Speaking about the pricing, it is expected that the device will have a price tag of ₹2,000.
Other Indian smartphone manufacturers like Karbonn, Intex, and Lava are also expected to launch the Go Edition based devices in the subsequent weeks.
As I mentioned above, the Go Edition based devices have low-end specifications. Which means don’t expect some heavy hardware, but it is better than purchasing a feature phone for this price range.
