After launching processors for mobile devices, now it is reported that Huawei is gearing up to launch its first processor for computers. The company has already introduced its HarmonyOS for PCs. The first laptop of the company with the power of the new operating system will be announced on May 20.
Having said that, the newly reported information is saying that the company will be launching its first processor for the computers and the same will be dubbed Kirin X90. It is expected that the upcoming Kirin X90 processor will be based on the same CPU architecture as its mobile SoCs, with essential upgrades to scale it up for PC-level performance.
It is reported that the upcoming Huawei Kirin X90 processor will be a 10-core processor in a 4+4+2 configuration with support for 20 threads via simultaneous multithreading. It will be supporting the Chinese national cryptography standards, SM3 and SM4 as well.
