The shopping platform is ensuring that the new fees will add an extra layer of safety to the products through its travelling in multiple hubs in the process of reaching to a customer. The new Protect Promise fee is now applied to certain products and the same will also offer the existing open-box delivery, which will make the delivery agent open the box at the time of delivery. The newly imposed Protect Promise fee on Flipkart is applicable on select products including earphones, mid-range tablets, home appliances (AC, refrigerators, smart TVs, etc), smartwatches, and others.
It seems that the shopping platform is currently Rs 49 for large-sized home appliances and premium products, Rs 29 fee for products such as soundbars and other similar range items, Rs 19 for mid-range categories including tablets, printers, etc, and the platform is also asking Rs 9 Fee for audio products, smartwatches and other budget products.
