Fossil, the very popular accessory maker has unveiled its two new smartwatches during the ongoing CES 2022 event and the company has introduced Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and Skagen Falster Gen 6. The devices are coming with identical specifications as both smartwatches are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ SoC and the latest devices are also running on Google’s Wear OS. It is worth mentioning that the newly announced Razer X Fossil Gen 6 is the result of a collaboration with gaming peripherals brand Razer and it will be available in limited quantities only. More importantly, the newly announced devices will support the Wear OS 3 operating system and the same will be available later this year. Specifications of Razer X Fossil Gen 6, Skagen Falster Gen 6
The newly unveiled devices feature a 1.28-inch AMOLED touch display with 416 X 416 pixels resolution along with 326 ppi pixel density. It is official with a 44mm round dial and the devices are also featuring three buttons to navigate across the device. The devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ SoC along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Regarding the connectivity options, the newly announced Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and Skagen Falster Gen 6 feature Bluetooth v5 LE, GPS, NFC SE, and Wi-Fi. The device is also coming with popular health related features and that includes fff-body IR, PPG heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor. Fossil is offering the latest devices with Google’s Wear OS and the device is capable to provide more than 24 hours of battery life and it also supports fast charging. The device also features water-resistant up to 3ATM (30 metres).
Now let’s talk about the only difference between the devices, Razer X Fossil Gen 6 is coming with a customizable chroma dial with four settings – Breathing, Spectrum Cycling, Static, and Wave. Talking about the compatibility, the devices can be matted with Android and iOS smartphones and have calling capabilities.
Separately, it is reported that all the Gen 6 smartwatches of the company will get Alexa support later this year.
Pricing and availability
Razer X Fossil Gen 6 will be available with a price tag of $329 and the device will be available from January 10 via the official website of the brand along with Razer’s website, Gamestop, and select retail stores. On the other hand, Skagen Falster Gen 6 is priced at $295 and the device will be available on the official website.
