The latest Aria Gen 2 is lightweight at 74 to 76 grams and it also comes with folding arms for easier storage. The device is coming in eight size options. The latest Meta Aria Gen 2 comes with four computer vision cameras along with a global shutter sensor with 120 dB HDR. The stereo overlap is now 80° that will improve depth perception and 3D tracking.
It also comes with a calibrated ambient light sensor (ALS) with ultraviolet detection along with a contact microphone built into the nosepad that is capable to obtain clearer audio in noisy environments. The device also features a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor and the same is also available on the nosepad that will monitor the heart rate.
The Aria Gen 2 also comes with SubGHz radio for sub-millisecond time sync between devices, along with a custom Meta coprocessor that has the power of the machine perception algorithms. It includes features like Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO), Eye Tracking, and Hand Tracking.
There is no information about the availability at the moment of time but it will open later this year.
