Google the search engine giant is always there to make things awesome for its users, and in the latest effort the search engine giant brings a new section in the Google Play Store called Free App of the Week. Let’s find out what is the new section all about.
The new Free App of the Week section on Google Play Store will update every week, and in this section Google will add a paid app for free of cost. The he is introduced just after Google recently started testing sale features on the developer console, the app which appears in the Free App of the Week section will be available for a maximum period of 8 days and only once in a month (30 days).
The new feature can be access on both desktop and smartphone, and in the section Google features a game called Card Wars – Adventures Time from Cartoon Network (it is usually available for $2.99). Right now this feature is available only in US, and there is no word about the global roll out of this feature.
This feature is available on iOS platform since 2012, and Apple introduced the section with more visibility. The developers on the platform of Apple can be change their pricing from free to paid and vice-versa from March 2016. Right now, Google allowed selected publications to temporarily drop the charges and make apps free. We feel the new step of Google is an important tool to boost downloads.
