Google always tries to make things easier and awesome for its users and to continue effort, the company is now experimenting a new feature for those who likes to make music. The Google Creative Lab says, that the new experiment will help you to make music and the experiment is called A.I. Duet.
The new web-based experiment allows to play music on your computer’s keyboard (or a supported MIDI Keyboard which you can with your computer) and the computer will then try to play a duet with you. You can go and try the new experiment right now on the Google website, there you can simply tap on the virtual keys to get started with the new experiment. You can also use touch screen to hit those keys if you are browsing through a smartphone or tablet, if you are on a PC you can use your computer’s keyboard.
Google says the new experiment is based on the Magenta open source project, which was first announced in May 2016. And it is designed for Google’s own Tensorflow that focuses on bringing machine learning to music and Tone.js. The system doesn’t use any pre-programmed algorithms, it has just been trained on existing tunes and it uses those to give response.
