Google and Disney to Bring The Mandalorian AR Experience App

Disney has teamed up with Google to promote its hit TV Show, The Mandalorian by making a new AR app. The Mandalorian AR Experience app is freely available on the Play Store. With the app, you can become the bounty hunter who is on a journey to capture the Mandalorian and his partner in crime, Baby Yoda.

The app is built around the first season of the show, and hence offers the visual experience of the show’s locations. Google says that they have worked closely with Disney, to optimise the app for 5G devices. But you do not need a 5G connection, to use the app. According to Disney, the Mandalorian AR Experience App will be updated with Season 2 content soon.

The app currently works on only a limited group of 5G devices, beginning with the Google Pixel 4A 5G and 5. The app has been build on the base of Google’s ARCore. Here is the list of devices that currently support the app. According to Google, more devices will be added to the list in the near future.
