Google Assistant Can Now Understand Hindi

The digital assistant of Google unveiled in 2016 along with the first generation pixel devices and other hardware products, since it unveiled the assistant improved a lot and it was available in many languages such as Italian, German, French, (of course) English and many more. Well, now the search engine giant Google provides support for the Hindi language in the Google Assistant.

The Google Assistant was able to understand the Hindi language, but it did not reply in Hindi. But with the latest update, it can understand and can also provide replies in the Hindi language. And with this update, Google has fulfilled its promise of providing the support for Hindi language and 30 more languages to the Google Assistant before the end of this year.

Support for the Hindi language in Google Assistant will be available on the smartphones which run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and above. Moreover, it will also available in the Google’s instant messaging application Allo. Apart from this, the mountain company also said that Google Assistant will get the support of Hindi language on the smartphones which run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and above, and the support will also available on Android Oreo (Go edition) devices and iPhone devices which runs on iOS 9.1 and above.

How to access

You need to change your device language to Hindi, update the Google Search app, and then long-press the Home button or say “Ok Google”.

Having said that, the Google Assistant was already available in the Hindi language on the JioPhone and it was available since last year.
