As per the network sources, Popular browser Google Chrome will soon receive a screenshot tool with lens support. The screenshot will work in the same way as the Microsoft edge screenshot tool. Google lens which is currently available for smartphones will soon be available for Chrome browsers. Google lens allows the users to quickly search images.
There are two main ways in which a screenshot can be taken in desktop version of chrome. We can either use the operating system’s built-in screenshot tool or by installing a dedicated chrome extension. The Android version of chrome already has a built-in screenshot tool in the share menu. This tool allows the users to capture screenshots of what is currently available on screen, cropping, share and save the screenshot on your device.
Desktop version of chrome soon receives the same feature of Android, an expanded share menu. The expanded share menu will offer options like copy link, copy link to text and other screenshot options. The taken screenshot will be automatically save on to users clipboard. It will also provides options like download, edit and share.
Currently, Google lens service, available for Android which helps in image recognition will soon appear in the chrome browser too. Chrome will expand its lens integration that will allow click and drag to select a region on the screenshot to search with lens. This feature will be useful for those websites which do not allow for right clicking images.
Google started developing these tools early this year and it is expected to be available later phase of this year. The built-in screenshot tool will work in versions of the browser for Windows, MacOS , Linux, and ChromeOS platforms
