Google is reportedly working on a project which directly competes with Amazon Echo Show. The device is codenamed as “Manhattan”
The Google Assistant powered Manhattan supports YouTube, Google Photos and the most expected Video calling.As it is powered by Google Assistant it can also control Home appliances what the Google Home do.This device is expected to run on Android and also developers will feel easy to code apps for the platform.
The Google Manhattan in other ways can be explained as a display added to smart speaker powered by Google assistant.In my opinion, what is the need of this device when we can watch youtube via our smartphone and do fancy stuff with the Google Assistant? But this is not just the Display attached Google Home. It doesn’t serve more than we expect.
Nothing has been confirmed as of now and Manhattan is just a project like Google’s projects.lets wait for Google to give any other leaks regarding the Codenamed device Manhattan or til the official announcement of the device. Anyhow it will directly compete the Amazon Echo Show.
