Google has now made it’s Google contacts app available for all Android users ranging Android v5.0 Lollipop and above. This change comes as an update v2.1.2.164543808 for the app. The app was initially an exclusive package for Google’s flagship line up smartphones like Nexus and the Pixel. However, it was later made available for other phones running on latest OS version.
The app includes backup and sync for your contacts via the Google Cloud, making them accessible on any of your devices, as well as a straightforward interface typical of Google’s homegrown apps. Contacts, as you might expect, allows you to add, edit and manage your contacts’ information in addition to supporting multiple Google accounts. The app also lets you clean up and merge duplicate contacts similar to what Google Photos does with duplicate pictures, and providing suggestions for adding further info to existing contacts.
You can find the latest version of the app over in the Play Store, and don’t forget to share your thoughts about the Google Contacts.
