Back in May, the Mountain View company Google introduced a device without a display and it was a fitness tracking product dubbed the Google Fitbit Air. Now the launch timeline of the device for the markets of India is revealed. So let’s check out the new piece of information.
During the launch of the latest Google Pixel 11 series, the company has officially confirmed that the Google Fitbit Air will be launched in the markets of India in October. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal the exact launch date of the device or the pricing details.
Specifications of Google Fitbit Air
The device measures 34.9mm long, 17mm wide, and 8.3mm thick. The pebble alone weighs 5.2 grams, while the tracker with a band weighs 12 grams. The device is made from recycled polycarbonate and PBT plastics, and the standard bands use textile material with a stainless steel buckle. Google has also introduced the device with water-resistant up to 50 meters.
It comes with multiple sensors including an optical heart rate monitor, 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, red and infrared sensors for SpO2 monitoring, a device temperature sensor, and a vibration motor. The device is capable of monitoring 24/7 heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, sleep duration, sleep stages, and heart rhythm, including atrial fibrillation alerts.
The device is confirmed to offer up to 7 days of battery life and the device will take around 90 minutes to charge completely. It is also said that a 5 minute of charge will be offering a battery life for one day. The device comes with a lithium-polymer battery and the device also supports Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. The latest Google Fitbit Air supports the Google Health app and the device is compatible with Android and iOS. The device will start workouts manually, while automatic activity detection can recognize common activities and the device can adapt to the user over time. It will be connecting with Google Health Coach for personalized guidance and the app supports image-based workout logging, including photos of cardio machines or whiteboard circuit routines.
