These days parents give smartphone to their kid’s due to various reasons, like to be keep in touch with kid’s during their absence. But on the same time, many parents are concerned about what types of contents are viewing by their little ones. Google understands your concern, and that’s why the search engine giant has announced the launch of Family Link app.

The all new Family Link app allow you to controls especially for parents to keep contents on their device away from their kids, and also allows way to limit their time on the device. Currently, the app is compatible with the Android Nougat v7.0 or above. Which is little disappointing, but we hope Google will make support for older versions of Android too.
How the app actually works???
After installing the app, parents can set up a Google account for each kid. That’s all, now the Family Link app will allow you to block apps or control device of their kid’s.
The app also allows you to set daily screen time limits for each and every kid’s, you can also monitor how much time your kids spending on the device on a daily or monthly basis. The also allows you to remotely lock your kid’s device, when you don’t want to use the device by the little ones. This feature comes handy during the period of exams or if the kid using the device late in night.
Availability of the app:
Right now the is in its early stages, but Google allows early access to the app. And the app is designed for the parents who have kids with the age of 13 and below, Google is also looking for feedbacks from the users. The company will launch the app officially later this year.
Conclusion
Well we think this is really a great move by Google to help parents to protect their children from the unappropriated contents in their early stage of life. Specially these days we are hearing lots of bad news from kids like abusing etc. So, this is really great app for parents to keep control on their children.
