Google May Implement Live Caption In Chrome Desktop

Live Caption is a feature which the Mountain View company Google announced at the last Google I/O event, and the feature is available on the Pixel smartphones. Well, now a new piece of information suggests that the developers will implement the same in the desktop version of the Google Chrome browser.

According to a recent commit on the Chromium Gerrit tips that Google’s Live Caption may soon arrive in the Chrome desktop browser. The newly surfaced commit is for the Speech On-Device API (SODA) service, and it packs all the needful elements to launch the service, at the same time, it’s still in its early stages of development.

Speaking about the Live Caption feature, it will be the native feature and this will provide captions for audio messages, videos, and more, across all installed applications. This will definitely help those who cannot able to hear.

Well, the feature will definitely handy for those who cannot able to hear and they can able to watch videos and understand what it is going in that particular video on the big screen.

Right now, we don’t have the information about the availability of the feature but we believe that the company will implement the same very soon and maybe the upcoming Google I/O event will be the stage to announce the same officially.
