Google Might Enter Into Foldable Smartphone Race In 2019

Just like the trend of slimming the bezels with various types of notches and moving mechanism, we are expecting that from 2019 the trend of foldable smartphones will flow on fire. Various companies like Samsung and Huawei are soon going to unveil their first commercial foldable smartphone, and companies like LG is preparing for foldable technology. Between all these OEMs, there is one more smartphone giant who might also jump into this foldable race. So let’s talk..

A recent rumour claims that Google is himself planning to launch foldable smartphone. According to the rumour Google is planning to launch many Pixel devices later this year, and foldable Pixel smartphone will be one of them. Though we don’t have any official confirmation or any leaked image or video or data, but the fact that Google has already added support for foldable displays in Android 9.0 Pie, is a sign that Google is planning something on foldable technology. The source also claims that this foldable smartphone might have Qualcomm’s 2019 flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. Though this rumour claims that Google is planning to launch foldable smartphone later this year, but we highly doubt on that because usually Google takes some time to bring new technology in the market, especially if it’s related to hardware. Also Google usually plays safe games in industry by not bringing any new technology without proper satisfaction. This will be indeed a good thing because it’s better to take time and make proper tech rather than being 1st without perfection.

But let’s see, maybe this rumour is true and we all will witness the foldable Pixel smartphone in 2019. What are your thoughts on this ? Do you think Google will launch foldable Pixel this year or not ? Share your thoughts in the comments section below and we will bring more exciting news, very soon. So stay tuned for that.
