Google is responsible for all the changes and upgrades of the Android operating system but when Google announced the Pixel 7 series everyone was surprised as the company offered only 3 years of software updates but Samsung and some other brands like OnePlus or Oppo are offering 5 years of software updates. But today we got a new piece of information that suggests that the company has realized the irony in that and will be fixing the problem very soon.
According to the latest information, the search engine giant is planning to deliver 5 years of software updates to its devices and it is also reported that the company will be offering the updates to the devices which are powered by its in-house processor called Google Tensor chipset.
That means the Google Pixel 7 might be getting the extended software updates and it will be interesting to know whether the Google Pixel 6 will be eligible for the same. It is worth mentioning that there is no official confirmation about the new software policy at the moment of time and we recommend you to take it with a pinch of salt.
