The Mountain View Company, Google, is gearing up to launch its next generation flagship smartphone series dubbed the Google Pixel 10 series in August 2025. Android Authority has reported that the company is booking forward for a display with higher PWM frequency but there is a catch. It will be only for the Pro models of the upcoming smartphone series. It is also reported that the displays will be brighter by about 200 nits across.
The upcoming Google Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL models are expected to feature a 480Hz PWM refresh rate. Having said that, the Google Pixel 10/ 10 Pro Fold is said to come with a 240Hz PWM frequency.
It is also reported to feature the HDR peak brightness for the upcoming Google Pixel 10 series and the same is said to be offer around 200 nits brightness across the models. The source says that the Google Pixel 10 will be offering 2000 nits brightness, Pixel 10 Pro/Pro XL is said to offer 2250 nits brightness, while the upcoming Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is reported to feature 1850 nits (internal display) and 1800 nits (external display) brightness.
