Google Pixel 7 series was announced during the recently concluded Google I/O 2022 event and the company will be launching its new flagship smartphone series in October this year. We are also hearing many information about the upcoming flagship smartphone series of the company through leaks and rumours as well and it was reported that the upcoming devices will have the same display as the previous generation.
But now the Android 13 Beta source code has revealed a new piece of information about the display of the upcoming Google Pixel 7 Pro and it is said that the device will have a brighter display than the current Pixel 6 Pro. It is also revealed that the upcoming device is capable to offer 600 nits of brightness.
It is also revealed that the upcoming Google Pixel 7 Pro will support an HDR10 display with HGL imagery and the same features a 1080 pixels resolution.
Pixel 6 Pro @ 100% brightness: 500 nits
Pixel 7 Pro @ 100% brightness: 600 nitsPixel 6 Pro w/ HBM: 800 nits
Pixel 7 Pro w/ HBM: 1000 nitsThis is all at 100% APL, so HBM at lower APL probably exceeds 1200 nits.
The BOE and P10/C10 panels also list 1000 nits max for HBM.
