According to the reliable tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Google Pixel 8 smartphone will be official in the early days of October and there is no surprising element in that because it is the usual launching timeline for the new Google hardware products including the flagship smartphone series.

The upcoming Google Pixel 8 phone is expected to come with a price tag of US $649 or $699 and if the information is correct then there will be a price hike than the current generation flagship smartphone of the company.
To recall the current Google Pixel 7 is having a price tag of $599 in the United States for the 128GB variant at launch and the 256 GB storage option was introduced with a price tag of $699.
Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Google Pixel 8 will be coming with a 4,485mAh battery on the board while the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone will house a 4,950mAh battery. It is also reported that the vanilla variant of the smartphone series will be supporting 24W charging solution while the Google Pixel 8 Pro will feature 27W charging solution.
The devices will be supporting wireless charging as well and the vanilla model will be supporting 20W (proprietary); 12W (Qi) while the Pixel 8 Pro will be supporting 23W (proprietary); 12W (Qi).
It is also expected that the upcoming devices will be supporting Wi-Fi 7 and the same will be coming with Broadcom BCM4398 Bluetooth/Wi-Fi communications chip. It will offer improved speeds along with latency and reliability. The Pro variant will be supporting Ultra-wideband as well.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone will be featuring a 6.7 inch Samsung OLED flat display with 2992 X 1344 pixels resolution along with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It is also reported that the company will be offering the device with 1600nits brightness as well as 490PPI.
On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8 smartphone will feature a 6.17 inch FHD+ Samsung & BOE OLED flat display along with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is also said to come with 1400nits brightness and 417PPI.
The leak is suggesting that the company is improving the display department. It was recently reported that the Google Pixel 8 smartphone will be coming with a 50MP GN2 main camera on the back panel along with a 12MP IMX386 ultrawide sensor. The device is also reported to feature a 10.8MP 3J1 front facing camera.
While the upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup and that will be in the combination of a 50MP GN2 main camera on the back along with a 64MP IMX787 ultrawide sensor and a 48MP GM5 5x zoom camera. Just like the vanilla variant, the device will also feature a 10.8MP 3J1 front facing camera.
The upcoming devices will be powered by the upcoming Google Tensor G3 mobile processor and the devices will be running on the Android 14 operating system out of the box.
