Apple and Google recently introduced the latest and greatest smartphones in the form of the iPhone 15 Series and Google Pixel 8 series. The iPhone 14 Pro models are the features packed devices by Apple and Google offers both devices of the Google Pixel 8 series with impressive design and specifications but the big brother of the smartphone series comes with more capacities than the vanilla variant.
Well, the latest iPhone 15 Pro Max was not able to survive the drop test but the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone has survived the test. So let’s get into the article to check out the survival test details of the Google smartphone.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone comes with a Gorilla Gorilla 2 protection on the front, and a Glass Victus 2 matte back with a polished aluminium frame. The material was good enough to keep the phone safe from the drop test.
The first drop test showcases the device falling from the waist height with the screen facing the concrete but the screen was safe from the scratches but it had some tiny scrapes on the sides. The second drop is from the head height, and on the concrete and that was also not able to create scratches on the display and the back panel of the phone. But again, there are tiny ones on the corners of the frame.
After that, the device was dropped on the back from the waist height and there were small scratches on the back panel and the camera bezel but nothing major bad happened. The last drop test showcased the device falling on the side from the waist height which caused damage to the display on the corner but no major visible problems and the phone performed well.
Talking about the scratch test, the latest and greatest Google Pixel 8 Pro can be seen putting inside a bag of sand and gravel and rubbed against it. The phone survived the test as we can’t find any major problems but it came across some small and minute scratches on the display and the edges of the camera bezel.
