Just a few hours ago, it was confirmed that the highly anticipated Google Pixel 8 series will be officially announced on October 4 and today the upcoming smartphone series appears on the FCC. So let’s get into the article to check out the new findings.
According to the latest information, both devices have appeared for approval by the FCC with the model numbers GPJ41, G9BQD, GZPF0, G1MNW, and GKWS6. The G1MNW is said to be the Google Pixel 8 Pro model number, and the other four model numbers are likely the vanilla variant. It is also confirmed that the devices will be supporting Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6E, Sub6, and mmWave 5G.
Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Google flagship smartphone series is reported to come with the capability to respond to notifications with your voice. It is also suggested that the company will be offering the next generation flagship smartphone series with eSIM capability as well. The upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options while the vanilla model will be available with 128GB and 256GB variants.
The upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch Samsung OLED display along with 2992×1344 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also reported to feature a peak brightness of 1600 nits and pixel density of 490PPI. The device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel GN2 main camera on the back along with a 64-megapixel IMX787 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48-megapixel GM5 telephoto lens. It is also said to feature a 10.8-megapixel 3J1 lens front facing camera. The device will also feature a temperature sensor on the back panel.
Under the hood, the upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro is to be powered by Google’s self-developed Tensor G3 processor and the same will be supporting ray tracing, enabling improved graphics performance as well. It is also said that the device will be running on Android 14 out of the box and there is nothing surprising element in that. The device will be housing a 4950mAh battery along with 27 watt wired charging and 23W & 12W Qi wireless charging.
On the other hand, the upcoming Google Pixel 8 will be coming with a 4,485mAh battery on the board along with a 24W charging solution. It will also support wireless charging as well. The device will be coming with Wi-Fi 7 and the same will be coming with Broadcom BCM4398 Bluetooth/Wi-Fi communications chip. It is also reported that the company will be launching the next generation flagship smartphone series with an Audio Magic Eraser feature as well.
