The mobile phone division of Google is currently working on the upcoming Google Pixel 9a and it is the affordable smartphone of the company. Google is expected to launch the device in the first quarter of next year and today the complete specifications of the phone leaked online. According to the latest information, the upcoming Google Pixel 9a will come with a 6.28-inch 1080×2424 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, 2,700-nit peak brightness, 1,800-nit HDR brightness, and it will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
The report also says that the device will come with a 48 MP f/1.7 main camera using the Samsung ISOCELL GN8 sensor, and a 13 MP f/2.2 ultrawide using the Sony IMX712 sensor. The same sensor will also be used for the front-facing camera as well.
It is also reported that the upcoming Google Pixel 9a will be powered by the Tensor G4 mobile processor along with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is also reported to come with a large 5100mAh battery with 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.
The upcoming Google Pixel 9a will be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and the device measures 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm as well as weighs 185.9g. It is reported to be introduced with the Android 15 operating system out of the box and the phone will get 7 years of Android updates and security updates.
It is said that the phone will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony colour options. It is also reported that the device will come with a starting price of $499 for the 128GB storage variant. Having said that, the Verizon’s version of the phone will come with support for mmWave 5G and it will be available for $549.
