The search engine giant Google is gearing up to launch its first ever folding smartphone called the Google Pixel Fold on May 10. The device is on the headlines for the past couple of months and now the full specifications along with the pricing details of the device appear online. According to the latest information, the upcoming Google Pixel Fold will feature a 5.8-inch OLED cover screen with 2092 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 17.4:9 aspect ratio, a 408 ppi pixel density, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The inner display will feature a larger 7.6-inch OLED foldable screen with 2208 x 1840 pixels resolution along with a 6:5 aspect ratio, 380 ppi pixel density, a 120Hz refresh rate, and also has a UTG (ultrathin glass) layer.
The upcoming device is expected to come with the power of the Google Tensor G2 mobile processor along with the Titan M2 security chip and LPPDR5 RAM. The upcoming Google Pixel Fold will feature a triple-camera setup on the back and that will be the combination of a 48-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 10.8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The device is also expected to feature a 9.5-megapixel front camera on the cover screen and an 8-megapixel front camera on the inner screen.
The upcoming device is also expected to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for an additional layer of security and the device will be running on Android 13 out of the box. It is said that the device can offer 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.
It is expected that the upcoming Google Pixel Fold will be coming in two variants including 12GB + 256GB and the same will be priced at $1799 and will be available in Obsidian and Chalk colors. The 12GB + 512GB variant will cost $1919 and the device will be available only in the Obsidian color option.
