Google will be launching the upcoming Google Pixel 11 Pro series with an RGB LED notification light integrated into the rear camera bar and it was previously believed to be called Pixel Glow, but now a new report says that it could be marketed under the HiLight branding.
The reliable tipster Evan Blass has shared new promotional images of the upcoming Google Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold that reference the RGB LED light on the rear camera bar. The marketing materials suggesting the feature as HiLight, instead of the previously rumored Pixel Glow.
It is also reported that the HiLight feature will glow when the Pixel 11 Pro series is placed face down and it will be notifying users of calls from specific contacts or it will indicate that Gemini is in use.
While the guys at 9to5Google have uncovered code in the latest version of the Google Contacts app and it says that the feature will enable users to assign a HiLight color to individual contacts. It will be supporting colours including Blue, Cyan, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Teal, White, and Yellow.
Google will be launching devices including the Google Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold on August 12. The company is also expected to launch its new Smartwatch called the Google Pixel Watch 5.
