Last year in October Google launched its own smartphones called Google Pixel and Pixel XL, along with new launcher called Pixel Launcher. Which was limited for the Pixel devices, and it became available for the Nexus devices. In the Pixel launcher, Google removed the traditional search widget, instead, ‘G’ button on the left side which pops-up to the search bar when you pressed. and the weather & date widget at the right side as well as there is no app drawer.
Now Google testing new look in the latest version of Pixel launcher, Google testing new look on the launcher. Google brings the search bar on the homescreen in place of the ‘G’, and the new search bar is coming with the rounded corners. And in the latest version of the launcher ditches the weather and date widget from the right side. However, there is nothing new in the functionality of the Search bar.
If you have a Pixel device and you wait for the official roll out then can get it right now, by wiping the data in the app. And don’t forget by wiping data will wipe out layout of your homescreen, or just wait for the official roll out of the new feature.
