Google Ports Entertainment Space to Android Tablets

The Mountain View giant Google has brought  Entertainment Space which is a collection of books, games and videos aimed at the elderly to the world of Android tablets. This is following the Kids Space, which provided fun games and books to the kids in the family.

The Entertainment Space curates different books, movies and shows from the likes of different streaming services and Youtube. The app has been designed in such as way that this content is spread across three tabs and these are :

Watch Tab

It has all the movies, shows and Youtube videos curated under one tab. Users can browse and find a collection of movies that can be rented or bought from Google TV. It even allows users to resume videos from the point they have stopped. If you are unsure of what to watch, here is a dedicated recommendation section that combines content from Google TV, Twitch, Hulu among other streaming services.

Games Tab

This is where users can explore and find new games from. Besides you can play selected games directly from the store as it supports instant play feature from the Google Play Store. This saves time and your precious data. If you do like the game, you can download it in full and play it without restrictions.

Read Tab

This section is for all those who love to read or listen to audiobooks. Google provides a preview of selected books so that you can skim through them before you make the purchase. Like the other sections, the read tab also has a recommended section consisting of trending books and the ones with discounts.

According to the company, the Entertainment Space will be released first on Walmart’s Onn tablets later this month. This will be followed by a global rollout that would bring these features to more tablets from the likes of Lenovo, Sharp and so on.
