Everything about the latest update
Just like we updated recently, the company has rolled out its second feature drop for the Pixel devices and it brings many of the features which we have seen on the first developer’s preview of Android 11. Having said that, even after the update you may not see all the features as it needs to be enabled from the server-side.
Dark mode scheduling
This feature was found on the first developer preview of Android 11 and it is now believed that the same will arrive in the upcoming feature drop and the feature will allow users to schedule a preferred time to turn on the dark mode automatically.
Cards & Passes
This is yet another smart feature by Google, and this will save cards in the Google Pay wallet to accessible via the power button of the smartphone.
Play/pause Motion Sense gesture
Just like the name suggests, this cool feature will allow users to play or pause music with the ‘air tap’ gesture. But the search engine giant has restricted the same in the latest Pixel 4 series, we hope that the company will expand the feature in the coming months.
Car crash detection
This feature is also a brand new setup of Google and it is also part of the first developer preview of Android 11. As the name suggests, it is a safety item, the feature uses location of the phone along with the accelerometer and microphone to try and detect when you meet with an accident and if the application is not able to detect the same, then the phone will make a loud noise and ask if there is any requirement of help, and if the phone will not get any response then it will automatically call to the emergency number and also share the location. The latest update brings this feature to the new Pixel Smartphones and it will available for the users of the United Kingdom and Australia.
Other add-ons
The latest update also brings the Live Caption features on second-generation Pixel devices and the update also adds the AR effect for Duo video calls as well as the Pixel 4 series gets improvement in portrait mode selfies. The update also brings a new Rules section in the settings and that will bring information based on the Wi-Fi network or the physical location.
Moreover, the new update also brings 169 new emojis and also the developers have relocated the power and reboot button to the bottom of the user interfaces. That’s not all, the third generation Pixel devices and above will get an option for screenshots of boarding passes and that will also in the real-time flight updates which is a very cool feature. Last but not least, the latest Pixel 4 devices will get a high brightness mode and it will come handy when you are under the sun to read the screen.
Apart from the new features, the tech giant Google has also rolled out the new security patch for the devices and it is March 2020 update.
So, Pixel owners update your device to the latest software update and if you are not seeing the notification for the latest update then check it manually by heading to the settings app of the smartphone.
